Hello!

It’s good to be back here, writing this again. December was, as expected, a hectic month with most of it spent away from real work. It gave me a lot of time and space to think, especially about what I want to be doing long term. Or rather, how I want to be doing it. How sustainable is it to work alone? Should I keep putting all my life and energy into a huge project all by myself? Should I look for a work-life balance?

I have ideas, but not definite answers for these questions, and I’m slowly working them out. While I’m doing that, the small (?) break from Reverie and Rust continues on to its second month (oh and hey! Happy new year!)

I spent the first week of Jan wrapping up work on the v1.6 patch for Forgotten Fields, which is now complete and will be launched soon. Read more about it here.

I have since started working on a small side project that may or may not turn into a full game – I don’t know at the moment. I intend to work on this at least throughout January, and if I feel it has legs, I’ll give it another month or two to complete it and possibly launch it? We’ll see!

Here’s a preview:

More news to follow in the next post 🙂
